A Long Look HomewardA sense of place and history is an essential part of everyone's life story. All of us remember the area where we grew up, the people we grew up with and the political and economic forces that have shaped our destiny. As humans, we have the unique capacity to share and learn about each other's backgrounds and fully identify with each other's joys and struggles. When we see ourselves in others, and others as ourselves, true peace arises. "A Long Look Homeward" is a photo and audio exhibition produced by the Tibet Museum that will connect you with a deeper sense of what it means to be a Tibetan in the 21st century, as told by 11 Tibetans in exile. The exhibition has been brought to Buffalo by Tibetan student Kunchok Youdon and is being hosted by Buffalo Arts Studio in conjunction with Community Outreach, Dalai Lama UB 2006. Join us for the exhibition's opening which will take place at Buffalo Arts Studio on July 8 from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. See a review of the current exhibition by clicking here.
